Mike and Bill remained great friends until Bill's untimely passing of cancer at a young age. The two partners were able to do one last DJ gig together celebrating Bill's life! This occurred just prior Bill‘s passing! Very special indeed!
About SpectraSound
I am often reminded of the saying that people do business with those whom they know, like and trust. This is always in the forefront of my mind as I work with new clients.
SpectraSound began its humble origins in the fall of 1986, when friends Mike and Bill, who loved all genres of music, were asked to bring their home sound systems and record collections to play music for a benefit event. We went out and purchased a microphone and a mixer from RadioShack, put our two sound systems together, along with all of our music and jumped right in! The evening went fantastically well! People were having a great time, and the dance floor was packed. The benefit was hugely successful, and people were coming up left and right asking us for business cards. Our reply when asked was we are doing this as a favor and aren’t really in business. The overwhelming responses from those in attendance were “What?, well you should be! You guys are really good”. It was the relationship with the people in attendance at that first event which encouraged SpectraSound to begin as a business in January 1987.
The first few years were fast and furious as the business was growing, and the leads were pouring in. What started as a partnership between good friends Mike and Bill unfortunately would end as Bill decided to exit the business for personal reasons. Mike took the reins and launched a very aggressive advertising campaign from 1989 through 1991.
With plenty of business, all advertising ceased in 1992 and SpectraSound has become a multi generational go to for its clients through those original relationships. The business has been able to grow and change with all of the trends, etc.
